Antarctica, the fifth largest of earth’s continents, is the coldest, highest, windiest and driest of all continents. Located as it is, underlying the south pole, is one of the reasons it is among the world’s coldest regions. In fact Antarctica is almost entirely covered by ice, averaging 1.6 km in thickness. As this continent has about 90% of the world’s ice it goes without saying this is where you will find around 70% of the world’s fresh water. No wonder Antarctica is often known as the Great White Continent! The lowest temperature ever recorded anywhere on earth, -89.2°C, was recorded on July 21, 1983, at the Russian owned Vostok Station. Unconfirmed reports suggest that lower recordings have been made since.

At some time in our lives most if not all of us will require some form of credit. It does not matter whether it is for a mobile phone, a car, or a home. Few of us have the means to pay cash up front for what we want, and sometimes it is impossible not to have credit, telephone rentals for example. We need credit, and there are plenty of companies who are willing to provide it.
For most of us, obtaining credit might not be such a difficult thing. We turn 18, get a job, have regular income, take out a mobile phone on credit, get a credit card and so on, and pay our bills as and when they come in. Over time we improve our credit standing and virtually walk through life getting whatever credit we need.
